Members Exhibition

Art of Food is about food in any context – dining, preparation or storage, culture, as still life, the significance or impact of food in our daily lives.

CLOSING EVENT!
SAT 1 February 2025, 3.30–5.30pm
Join us for a Closing Event of our Art of Food exhibition.

​ENTRY CONDITIONS
​​Entry is free and all exhibiting artists must be 2024–2025 financial members of Gateway Gallery.
​Note: Membership is due by 1 July. Join or renew membership at the gallery OR via our Membership page.
​​
Entry includes up to 3 entries per artist, in any medium, 2D or 3D and up to a maximum size of 70 x 70 cms.
​
Entry Forms and ENTRY CONDITIONS are also available at the gallery.

By entering, you are confirming that you are the creator and owner of the entered artwork.
​
Artwork must not have been exhibited at Gateway Gallery in the past 12 months.
​
DELIVER ARTWORK/S on Thur 5 or Fri 6 December, 10am–4pm. Upon delivery artwork is to be unwrapped by the artist and members are asked to retain their wrapping for when they return to collect their artwork, after the exhibition.
COLLECT unsold works on Sat 1 February, 4.30pm to 5.30pm, or as soon as possible thereafter.
All artworks need to be collected ASAP after the exhibition closes.

ELIGIBILITY
Artwork must be clearly labelled on the back with the artist’s name, title and sale price of the work. Artwork labels are attached but artists can label their work themselves.
​
Artwork must be ready to hang with suitable hanging fixtures, e.g., D-ring hangers and wire.
NOTE: Artwork will not be exhibited unless properly prepared for hanging.
​
All artworks will be available for purchase throughout the exhibition and prices must include the 30% commission rate payable to Gateway Gallery.

Gateway Gallery reserves the right to refuse to accept and display artwork(s) if:
​

The artwork is not of sufficient artistic or technical merit, framed/presented appropriately, or is not ready to hang.

The artwork poses a safety risk.

The artwork could be considered offensive in terms of pornographic content, character denigration, racial or religious prejudice.

HANDLING
All artworks will be handled with utmost care by experienced staff. However, Gateway Gallery will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused while work is in transit to and from the gallery.
​
EXHIBITION PROMOTION
All artworks are subject to being photographed by the gallery, for the purpose of online marketing of the exhibition and exhibiting artists, via the gallery website, email and social media. This does not affect the copyright of the artists' works.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
