Contemporary collage is a tool for expression, protest and play.
Donna is known for her floral collages from recent exhibitions. Her work is a powerful testament to the benefit of play and how you can grow artistically by exploring work by other artists In this workshop Donna shares collage example works by Matisse, Hoch, Heartfield and Hockney. What is it that appeals to you? What design elements you can see? What is the colour scheme? What would you do differently? Why?
We will start with some exercises to explore what we have discovered. Where we go from this point is up to you. Continue to explore in bursts on small works or try your hand at a larger piece.
